National Chemistry Week 2021
Join the New York Local Section of the ACS as it celebrates National Chemistry Week 2021 virtually in three ways. Download the flyer and share it with friends and family.

1.  Virtual Chemistry Event
    11:00AM – 4:00PM October 24, 2021
    Presenters from local colleges/universities, high schools, chemical companies, business centers and non-profit organizations are invited to present online demonstrations that celebrate the theme 'Fast of Slow: Chemistry Makes It Go'. 
    Coordinators, demonstrators and volunteers please register by October 8

2.  Chemistry Makes It Go – Kahoot.it!
     11:00AM – 4:00PM October 24, 2021
     Students are invited to participate in a friendly competition that test their chemistry knowledge.  Games will last 15-30 min. and winners will be recognized in several categories / age-groups. 
     Registration is FREE

3.   Digital Illustrated Poem Contest
      The New York ACS is sponsoring an illustrated poem contest for K-12 students.  Submit your entry via email.  Winners of the local competition will be forwarded to the National Poem Contest with a chance to be featured on the ACS  website and to win a prize!

National Chemistry Week 2020 Recap
The New York Section of the American Chemical Society proudly celebrated National Chemistry Week 2020 with a virtual demo event, an illustrated poem contest and a chemistry knowledge competition via Kahoot. Demonstrations in several parallel Zoom sessions were offered live and recorded for future viewing.
